Around Christmas of 2018 Death Metal advocates DESERTED FEAR headed towards a special tour. Ok, let’s be honest: the name of the five-shows-run was quite awkward. It was called “Schreinachten”, so to say “Scream-mas”. Nevertheless the gigs with DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER and CYPECORE turned out to be massive celebrations of sick and groovy metal!

In a month DESERTED FEAR will release their fourth record DROWNED BY HUMANITY. While they are releasing some sick music videos to promote this banger I worked on this photo diary of their little tour. Besides loads of concert photos you’ll see backstage as well as soundcheck impressions. However, excuse me for now. I am working on another special thing for their release – stay tuned!

On tour there’s more than enough time for contemplation and activity in addition to music. DESERTED FEAR are always up to shoot sum bball or watch their home side Science City Jena in action.

But this time the focus was on fail videos. Besides waiting and cuddling of course.

If the early hours are over it’s time to setup every fckn heavy piece of equipment on stage and to soundcheck – the most boring part to do, to witness and to listen to. Even though I know that nearly nobody is interested in seeing any of this stuff I tried to find my own way to catch the essence of setting everything up for the show.
